Our People

Bruce Hendler - President and Head Cycling and Triathlon Coach 

Bruce founded AthletiCamps 15 years ago after a successful bike racing career. Through his dedication and leadership, he has carved out directions that have led Athleticamps to being the top resource for endurance athletes in Northern California. Still an avid cyclist, he loves the area for training and all the energy that Folsom and the surrounding communities has to offer endurance athletes. 

Mike Carr, BS Exercise Science - Director of Business Development 

Mike most recently spent time leading a sales team as the Director of Sales for Specialized Bicycles. He is a cycling enthusiast who has competed on the road and on the mountain bike. Mike comes from a motorcycle racing background along with racing cars and flying planes. Mike has a degree in Exercise Science and enjoys helping athletes find their own personal success. Joining AthletiCamps allows Mike to focus on his passion related to performance and helping endurance athletes aspire higher.

Marlia Braun, PhD, RD, CSSD - Nutritionist

With a wealth of applied knowledge, countless authoring of research studies, and 15+ years of working with clients from all walks of life, Marlia is one of the most sought after nutritionists in the country.  She has an ability to listen and create a nutritional plan based on an athlete's needs.  Probably one of the most requested areas of improvement we get asked about, trust your health and athletic success to Marlia.

Austin Whatley -Training Center Assistant

Balancing a life of helping athletes at AthletiCamps, working on his degree and being a successful athlete, Austin is what we would say, "Living the Dream!" Growing up in a bike shop has given him a wealth of knowledge and he loves to "talk shop!"  Got a question about bikes, ask Austin!

Tim Zsoka - Associate Cycling Coach and Training Center Assistant

Tim absolutely loves the sport of cycling.  From helping our development team riders to studying the tactics of the professional races, Tim is the definition of "cycling fan."  While still being an avid racer, his desire to work with athletes of all levels to help them improve is his passion.
