Thursday - McKenzie Pass
A -73 miles; 6700ft
B - 31* miles; 2400ft

Ride with GPS: A Group; B Group

How many rides take you somewhere that’s like nothing you’ve ever seen? McKenzie Pass is not only the most spectacular ride in Central Oregon, it also leads you to a lava-rock moonscape at the top that spreads out before you for miles. It’s stark and barren. It’s awe-inspiring. It’s unlike anything you’ll probably ever encounter on a bike ride again.

But there’s more to this pass than the top. It also showcases forests on both the east and west sides of the Cascades – and after you’ve pedaled through them you’ll know how different they are on the “dry side” and the “wet side.” It also provides at least one lung-expanding climb – two if you do the whole thing out-and-back.

*Note - B group riders can go over the summit if they like, just making sure the guides know your plans.

Our ride today takes up to the top of Greenville and then descends and rolls back to the hotel. The A group will split off at and do an addition loop out to Cloverdale and back. All in all, a challenging, but beautiful ride with views of the Cascades around every corner.

B - 54 miles; 3000ft

Ride with GPS: Updated Group A and B

One of Central Oregon's most beloved summertime bike routes, the Cascade Lakes Loop around Mt. Bachelor is a challenging and visually stunning ride.  Continuous views of the snow-drenched Three Sisters, Mount Bachelor, and Broken Top, not to mention numerous pristine lakes and sparkling roadside streams.
